Welcome Back!

A few things to consider/clear up:
Evonne is writing down conflict days for directors. If there is a day you will be out for dental issues, college things, etc., please tell Evonne.
James - please help Evonne do blocking/choreography for the song in the snack bar. Make it cheesey.
Tshirt designs - See Lena's note. We have to have the design set by next Monday.
Costume designs - See Lena. If you have opinions about your costume designs, you need to tell Lena, otherwise, she's going with her own ideas (which are great).
Read and respond to chapters 11 and 12 of Michael Bloom.
There are some issues/questions about the final film sequence. We will work on it tomorrow. It will probably be a version of the scene in the car with the seniors.
Charles and Dillon have a filming plan.
We need to look towards next week when you are running the show. You need to think about how you will communicate with the actors -- will one person be in charge and all notes be funnelled through them? Will you each give notes on your own sections? I think it would be good to figure out a way to run those rehearsals where it's not chaotic and random who is giving notes when, etc.

  1. Overall things went well today. Dillon watched over us and gave us helpful tips to make it all more realistic. When Dillon had to fill in for Zander we worked on slowing the pace of things and it worked rather well, but some work still needs to be done. Hats off to Adam who has his lines down (but is a little roguh on the monolouges) and read the Catcher in the Rye.

As for filming, we are set to film the interviews Thursday as soon as school is over (Dillon and I may need to get out of 8th early to get equipment). As for filming the seniors in the car at night, we were thinking of using a dark blue filter to make it look like night, any objections?

Good to see you all again

  2. A lot of good stuff was accompished today...we labeled the stuff that was new costume wise and we convinced some of the actors to just trust us with our fashion choices. The makeup isn't in yet because of some technical difficulties but those have been resolved so that's good. Deadline to have your actors costumes in is next FRIDAY APRIL 9TH and because most of them are in dress code it shouldn't be that hard, just remind them... Don has the song down which is exciting and james and i agreed that i would take over the choreography/blocking since i've been working with don and steph and james has his fabulous dance sequence to perfect (which looks sick as of right now) and also the guidance councelor child song to block and teach. plus costume crew is on a good path right now. The job of flag making has been handed to props and the design is pretty awesome i must say.
T SHIRT DESIGNS MUST BE IN BY THURSDAY!!!! that is if you want to be in the competition haha and austin and i will choose them. Charles had a great idea for the quote " Oh no everybody writes about that...We'd best start thinking of a good lie!" I will send someone around in the groups to get sizes for the shirts tomorrow and wednesday...
Great Job Everyone (i'm so freaking excited about this whole thing)
    Lena
