-Props need to be in by Monday! Also, they have to be used on Monday -Dillion great job. Embrace the authority! -Lighting, let Coleman know. "Be specific"
Today was really good I think. I had alot of fun graffiting the bathroom stalls, set looks great and play is coming together as well. What do you guys think?
I think that Dillon has a really good, understated-kind of authority. He doesn't really come across as mean, nor does he come across as too loose. He merely observes, and states his observations. It's really incredible, and I think a very good model, though hard to put into words. He's very tempered (???) in a good way. Never too high or too low, but has a presence and ethic that make him respected. Good job today.
Coleman and Pibl!?! The bathroom stalls and the rest of the sets look great, but what's up with the snackbar?
The stalls look and incrediable and what Xander wrote honestly made my day when it started to look shitty. I really don't have much else to say is that I think I lost patience but I got over that I think. Will and Aaron were on fire today and did an amazing job and I was so impressed.
Costumes are taking shape more and more...I realized that sometimes when i let things flow it turns out just right. Example: Nick cavaliers lifeguard zombie...idk how that happened but it works. What scares me is that i feel like i have absolutely no clue what I'm doing when it comes to makeup eventhough i have ideas and stuff, but i feel like everyone is expecting an 8th wonder of the world so i don't want to dissapoint and slowly but surely it's making me a bit miserable :( other than that things went as usual...does anyone know where the turtle shell is? The set is looking banging my friends it's pretty awesome!!!! can't wait to see it all together and such!!! oh and i'm recording tomorrow so from now on I'll be available at the touch of a button... $510 just a wee bit further SHIRTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED!!!
The play is coming together today it really looks good. We will have the snack bar counter tomorrow as well so hopefully it can come together too. Dillon is a really good DOD because he get all the things in control. Nice job Dillon!
Yes Dillon kept control and it was clearly reflected in the preformance by the actors.
For Bathroom graffiting remember that this is a BOY'S BATHROOM and I've been in enough to know that no one writes "hottie" in it. Maybe "Sadat was here" would be more fitting James. Or "Chicken Tortilla Cassarole was here." There needs to be some reference to it in the bathroom I feel. "Xylox (Dennis) is a loser" would be a good one.
Changing the subject a bit, I think that Mr. Gordon should have two computer monitors on his desk because otherwise most of the audience won't get the pun in scene 15 about a 3rd computer monitor. You get it and I get it, but a freshman's parent won't understand what is going on.
One last thing is that I need to record the Announcement about CTC to be used in the snakcbar, it shouldn't be hard though.
CHARLES- were hopping to rig up a live PA system for that so u can deliver it live. we also need a recording of it though so that we can use it as a sound que for the sound bar, mixed with a cutting out static or some thing. that is a bridge i will cross when mixing every thing.
SNACKBAR- it should have been installed today but we ran into a problem with stability so that had to be taken care of, the addition to it increases stability because it in creases the footprint of the snack bar you will understand more when u see it.
XANDER- that writing you did will be gone/modified, i can assure you of that.
XANDER+SADAT- i need a track list of what ure thinking and sound guys i would love to get mixing and altering some effects ASAP
i need- typed list, artist name album track name. and sound queues short description of each if needed
LIGHTING!!!LIGHTING...LIGHTING!!!LIGHTING...LIGHTING!!!LIGHTING.. please let me know of any pre conceived ideas you may have the best way to give these to me is send me a very specific email. describe the mood you want i.e possible colors, if you want a particular, shadow or effects. i need this ASAP
THIS IS DUE MONDAY OR IM TAKING COMPLETE ARTISTIC LICENSE i need next week to make a plot, so monday or bust.
everything is inthe process of getting details for the set. The snackbar is done, and the stalls look great. Coleman rest assured "Coleman + Sara Forever" will remain on the stalls. And I think "Sadat is a hottie" looks good as it is already on them Charles. Charles don't worry we plan on having two computers for the college guidance. And finally from what i saw while working in the bbox, Dillion seemed to find he perfect balance between authority and having fun. Tomorrow all the flats will be anchored and you will be able to use the bookcase & air duct without fear of it falling.
I wanted to add since I didn't have internet service over the weekend, that DOD isn't as easy as it looks for those that haven't served yet, but thank you for all the compliments. I thought that this practice went a lot better than the previous ones. Everything is starting to feel real and not like people are just reciting lines. There are some awkward moments, but nothing that can't be fixed by the time of the show.

ReplyDeleteI think "Sadat's a hottie" for sure.

It all looks good so far, lets keep it up.
What Charles just said about "Sadat is a hottie" is dead on.

ReplyDelete^^^^^that sounds good pible, we dont want any deaths.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Dillon is a natural at directing.
ReplyDeleteToday's DOD is Evonne, with co-pilot Sadat. Or, as Charles said, the Cheney to her GWB.
Is anything needed for Monday? Austin is working on tickets and such.
Liwosz said, "Let the zombies begin." So, we are golden with the posters...
Has Dean Liwosz signed the confidentiality agreement? :)
