Some thoughts for Spring Break...

You have accomplished a great deal up to this point, which is fantastic. Over break, be thinking about the details to add...
--Set decoration and props (you need to have lists for Erica)
--Costumes (will be mainly variations on the "dress code" - Lena where do we stand with costuming?)
--incidental music
--Tshirt Design (someone needs to collect sizes and money)
--Marketing

Also, Dillon and Charles you need to be ready to roll with filming. No pun intended.

Coleman and Pibl - you need to make sure you are really using all the materials you can scrounge in the tech shop. We may not run out to buy a ton of lumber. You can adjust some of your designs based on materials, I'm sure.

James and Lena - you will need to record accompanying music for your songs. Do that earlier rather than later.

Austin - make sure you are sending reminders to the actors over break to learn their lines. It's really important.

Evonne/Coleman/Pibl - make sure you settle on the design for the snack bar counter. Remember that it will need to be struck so that the psychologist's office can be seen.

Many things to think about...I'm glad this project can serve to motivate you in this odd time of limbo as seniors. Have a nice break :)

  1. costumes should start with everyone bringing in typical dress code clothes...unless you're a CTC. we can always add or subtract items but that's the foundation.
T shirt sizes are all taken for the cast because that's part of the measurements so all we need are the directors sizes.
James and i were thinking of recording the week we get back but we were also thinking it would be funny if the piano was somehow just part of the snackbar and i just started playing it in CTC makeup just a though of madness
    so yea that's about it
xoxo gossip girl (but not really)

  2. Greetings from San Paulo!!! Hope everyone is enjoying Srping Break. It's a bit too hot down here (which is an odd concept to some) and my room is Spartan. I have a bed, a sheet, my script, and a computer, so all I can really do is memorize lines and blog. The Parks are the place to be on Sunday's though. "And on the First Day the Lord said, walk the dog and buy gluten-free ice-cream from street vendors."

We have come so far, but we still have mountains to climb. Memorization is going well and I want to lay out a game plan for filming. One idea for the film was that we have some CTC walk into Dean L's office and then we see them run out in fright, Dean L proceeds to shut the door. What do you think?
Also, I believe James told me he was advised agianst the Piano, just a bit to complicated.

Dillon: I can make the props list, it's really no trouble for me.

Also, can someone please make sure Austin is doing his job, not that I don't trust him, it's just I don't want to risk it.

Again, hope you are all enjoying our time off.

    Sincerely
    Charles Merrick

  3. Hey yall!
I don't know how many of you guys check this blog over the break but I'm setting the deadline for tshirt design submissions the week before the show opens so that would be like the week of the 14th or something. The contest is open to the directors/writers and faculty advisors. I think whats gonna happen is that Austin and I are choosing the final design since he's in charge of publicity and Im running the clothing aspect of the show but feel free to comment on that.
Also if you guys have things you need or concerns about costumes txt me, call or email me so that i can notate it and find some way to acquire it or make it, borrow or steal (just kidding about the stealing part).
Hope your break is going well!!!
    Lena
